If you still have any computers running Windows 7, you probably already know that Microsoft will be ending support for this operating system on January 14th, 2020. We are working to remediate the risks to MCECS/PSU from these systems after the deadline (since they will no longer have security updates).
Over the past few months, we have been contacting the responsible parties for known Windows 7 systems in MCECS that are either supported by the CAT or tier 3 systems that we have been able to identify via other means. Please make sure that you have responded to us and worked out a transition plan to be implemented before the deadline.
After the deadline, any systems that have not been covered by a transition plan will be disconnected from the network.
