Our version of SAP2000 have been upgraded to Version 27.1. This upgrade changes how you access the software—moving from a traditional local license to a cloud-based login model (similar to Autodesk).
Please follow the instructions below to ensure your access is set up correctly.
1. How to Request Access
Because the new license model requires individual user accounts, you must be added to the CSI Console before you can log in.
- For Faculty: Please email the CAT to request access. Also, provide the Course Number(s) for any classes requiring the software. The CAT will then automatically sync the student roster to the CSI system.
- For Students: Access is granted based on course enrollment.
2. Setting Up Your Account
Once your information has been imported into the CSI Console:
- Check Your Email: You will receive an automated invitation from CSI (Computers and Structures, Inc.).
- Set Your Password: Click the link in the email to create your unique password.
- Login: Your username will be your university email address.
3. How to Sign In
When you launch SAP2000 on a lab computer, you will no longer see a license error or local activation prompt. Instead:
- Launch SAP2000 v27.1.
- A Login Window will automatically pop up.
- Enter your @pdx.edu email as your username and the password you created in Step 2.
- The software will remain active for the duration of your session.
Note: If you are enrolled in a class that uses SAP2000 and have not received an email from CSI, please contact your instructor to ensure your Course Number has been submitted to IT.
