PhpMyAdmin/phpPgAdmin going behind MCECS authentication

MySQL and Postgres users,

As a security measure, we are putting the externally available web interfaces for our user based MySQL and Postgres database servers on db.cecs.pdx.edu behind MCECS authentication. This means that users who want to get to those interfaces will have to first authenticate with their MCECS credentials (login/password).

For MySQL details, see:

https://cat.pdx.edu/services/web/databases/mysql/

For Postgres details, see:

https://cat.pdx.edu/services/web/databases/postgres/

This doesn’t change anything about the database accounts you are already using. Your existing database accounts will continue to work the same way and direct access to the database servers will continue to be limited to connections from inside PSU.
