We have a web-based Remote Desktop Client available for users who need to remotely access Windows systems in MCECS. This method does not require the use of a VPN and may benefit people who are having problems getting their VPN connection to work. The web client is not as robust as a native RDP app, having problems with mapping key bindings, dealing with mismatched screen resolutions and other quirks. Keep in mind that you must already have remote access enabled on the system you are trying to get to. The main computer lab Windows systems are not remotely accessible.
Also note that when using the web client, only list your username in the “User Name” field and not the more commonly used “CECS\username” reference. This is a quirk of this client and the “CECS” domain is already pre-filled in another field.
