Unable to open a web browser?
At MCECS, we use Roaming User Profiles to ensure a consistent computing experience within the college. This system allows your settings, preferences, and files to follow you when you log in to different computers. When you log into an MCECS computer, your profile is downloaded. When you log out, changes are saved back to the server. This can lead to issues when a user forgets to log out of one computer and logs into a second, since the profile is still downloaded on the first computer.
Issues can look like:

Browsers failing to open or function correctly because they rely on profile data that is already in use elsewhere.

Settings and session data becoming corrupted if two machines try to update the same files at once.
To avoid the above issues, be sure to log out fully from one computer before logging into another.
