In June 2018, the campus site license for Maplesoft’s Maple (a symbolic and numeric computing tool) ends. The last version available to PSU is Maple 17 and all copies running on MCECS systems (or Tier 3 machines using this floating license) will cease to function after this happens.
The Maple site license had been handled by the Math department but faced with a licensing model that had become overly burdensome plus the very limited use of Maple on campus, they decided to scrap the license.
If you are a Maple user on campus, you will need to work directly with Maplesoft to purchase a license.
