Reserving Computer Labs

Requests for lab reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. These requests can only be submitted by MCECS faculty and staff. You may have someone else in your department submit a request on your behalf. Schedule conflicts will be resolved by Departmental Chairpersons. In most cases, the CAT will try to have someone on site during the reserved times.

The Maseeh College student labs may be reserved as laboratories or for class meetings where the use of lab computers are an integral part of the session. They must not be used as a replacement for a lecture classroom space.

Reserved computer labs may be designated as “Open” or “Closed”.

Open — there are usually 10 or fewer students in the class; non-class-members are allowed into the lab during the reserved time period; members of the class are given priority on the computers
Closed — there are usually more than 10 students in the class; non-class-members are not admitted during the reserved time period

Labs may also be reserved for workshops, seminars, or events. A lab-usage fee is charged, based on the profit/non-profit status of the organization presenting the workshop.
