We recommend using the Gmail web interface to get the best experience with the PSU Google Mail account (user@pdx.edu) associated with your Odin ID. However, if you decide that you must use a local mail client (eg. mail.app) on your Mac, you will need to configure it to connect to Google Mail with your PSU Odin Identity. The configuration settings you will need are:

Incoming server settings:
Server Name: imap.gmail.com
Port Number: 993
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: OAuth2

Outgoing server settings:
Server Name: smtp.gmail.com
Port Number: 465
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: OAuth2
