Flash on Google Chrome Print
Written by thyme

Users on our Windows systems may have noticed that the Chrome browser will sometimes reject components on websites that are running Flash. If you are running into that problem, try visiting the site using Firefox or Internet Explorer.

The problem we are running into is a mismatch in patch delivery schedules from Adobe (which maintains the Flash plugin used by Firefox and Internet Explorer) and Google (which maintains the Flash plugin for Chrome). In recent months, the gap between these patch deliveries has widened.

As of now, Chrome will only receive flash updates on major version releases. Minor version changes may not see new versions of Flash, or sporadically at Google's discretion.
