Overview of the account creation process
- Teacher requests that class gets a certain account
- Student registers for that class
- Starting at the beginning of term, our account system adds that account to the student's account record if they don't already have it
- Student comes to one of our front desks (EB-325A and FAB 82-01) with a PSU identification number and photo id, and validates the account
- Student is given validation sheet with username and password
- Accounts are usually activated within several hours. Logging in to our systems will not be possible until the account is active.
Note: If you registered for a class today or if you are a newly admitted major, you won’t be in our user accounts database for at least two business days. Any exceptions to the standard process are handled on a case-by-case basis through the respective department office.
Front Desk Hours and Locations
What if I had an account in the past? If it is inactive, you will be issued a new password. You will keep your existing username. If you forgot the username, we can tell you that, too.
What if I forget my password or lose my validation sheet? You can request a new password at one of our front desks. We can not retrieve your password and you will have to be issued a new one.
