How to set up your MCECS (webmail.cecs.pdx.edu) email in Thunderbird Email Client.

The first run of Thunderbird will automatically open "Mail Account Setup",

otherwise click on File-> New -> Mail Account.

Type in your name and your email address (username@cecs.pdx.edu) and

click continue.



Replace incoming and outgoing fields with "mailhost.cecs.pdx.edu" , make sure

the selection box to the right of the incoming field says IMAP

(if it says POP click on it and choose IMAP).

Set both incoming and outgoing encryption types to "SSL/TLS" then click

retest configuration, the numbers filed should then be 993(incoming) and 465(outgoing).

It should look like similar to this(except for name/username):

Click Create Account, then get mail, and enjoy Thunderbird.
