Step 1: Connect to the MCECS VPN

Step 2: Connecting to a Server

• Click anywhere on your desktop where there is no icon, then click on the “Go” menu on the Finder menu bar and select “Connect to Server...” option, it should be at the bottom of the list.

*Note: These images were taken from a Macintosh running Mac OS 10.6.7, your setup may look slightly different, especially from older versions, though everything should work about the same 

Step 3: Entering Your Stash Path

• Once you've clicked on the “Connect to Server...” option enter “smb://stash.cecs.pdx.edu/your_stash” into the address bar, removing the quotation marks and replacing “your_stash” with your stash folder's name. Then click the “Connect” button.

Step 4: Entering Your Credentials

• After clicking the “Connect” button, select the “Registered Guest” option, then type in your user name in the “Name:” box in the form "CECS\username" followed by your password in the “Password:” box, then click the “Connect” button.
• You are now remotely connected to your stash!
