Written by el_seano

1. Follow the steps in the Ubuntu Linux GUI VPN tutorial, and connect to the CECS VPN.

2. Open up the system-config-printer application under System->Administration->Printing (Alternately, you can use Ubuntu's Run prompt <Alt+F2> and type system-config-printer)

3. Go to Server->Settings... and select the following options:

  • Show printers shared by other systems
  • Publish shared printers connected to this system

4. In the same window, open up Advanced Settings, click *Add*, and enter the following IP before clicking OK:  131.252.208.78

5. You should now see a list of all the CECS printers (if you don't, make sure you have View->Discovered Printers turned on).  Now you can send documents to the CECS printers via the VPN in your precious, precious GUI!
